It's been 6 years since the iPod was released, and here is the first promotional video that followed. There were few early-adopters, but it has spread like a virus. Now those infamous little white ear-buds are so common its almost annoying. This video was a premonition on things to come, check it out:
On Saturday, October 13 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Time), Apple will open the floodgates for all high school and college students to create a 3-minute film (using some parameters provided by Apple). The kicker? You have to write, cast, shoot, edit, score, and upload the film in 24 hours.
The films will then be put up for everyone to vote on. The top 25 from that will be screen by industry pros and each member of the team with the winning film will receive a MacBook Pro, Final Cut Studio 2, Logic Studio, and Shake. Snap!
You can register now. Teams must consist of 5 people, all of whom must be in high school or attending an accredited college or university.
I love wooden electronics. This iPod speaker is absolutely beautiful. This is the Vers 2x - Hand-crafted cherry veneer cabinet - no two alike - 2 3” custom-engineered 15 watt speakers - Dual port design for deeper bass - Advanced 14 function remote control with 25’ range (I wish there was a pic of this!) - 3.5mm audio cable for use with other MP3 players (which is nice for people who don't want to be locked in to using it ONLY with an iPod). Its MSRP is $179… and they are even listing Target as one of the places to go find it in mid-Oct.
